Opt-out policy

The short version

Telephone (904) 721-3000 and say you want to be removed. No form, no account, no unsubscribe link to hunt for, no reason required. We confirm it on the call.

What you can ask for

Stop contacting me. We stop. In practice there is very little to stop: we run no mailing list and we do not send service reminders unless you asked for them.

Tell me what you hold. We will tell you what is on file against your name or your vehicle, and print it for you.

Correct something. A wrong number, a misspelled name, a vehicle you no longer own. Corrected on the call.

Delete what you hold. We delete what we are free to delete, and say plainly what we are not.

What we cannot delete, and why

A repair order and its invoice are records of a transaction. Accounting and tax rules require us to keep them, and so does the warranty on the work: a warranty claim is proved by the original repair order, so deleting it would delete your own protection.

That is the honest reason rather than a convenient one. If we destroyed the record of a brake job and the brakes needed warranty attention eighteen months later, you would have nothing to point at.

What we can do, and will, is remove you from any contact use of those details, so the records sit in the accounts and nowhere else until their retention period expires.

How long it takes

Contact removal takes effect immediately on the call.

A request to see, correct or delete what we hold is answered within thirty days, and usually a great deal sooner.

Advertising you may have seen

This site currently loads no advertising or analytics tag at all, so there is nothing on it to opt out of. If we later run paid search advertising, the Microsoft Advertising UET tag described in the cookie policy would be set by Microsoft rather than by us, and would be refused through Microsoft and through your browser.
