Privacy policy
What we record when you contact us or bring a vehicle in, exactly which third-party tags this site can load, how long we keep things, and how to have them removed. Last reviewed September 2026.
Who this applies to
This policy applies to Arlington Motor Company, Inc., 10939 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32225, and to this website.
What this website collects
This site has exactly one form, on the contact page. When you submit it, the following fields are transmitted to us and no others:
- Your name — required.
- Email address — required, so we can reply.
- Telephone number — optional.
- Vehicle — optional, year, make and model.
- Mileage — optional.
- Which service — optional, a menu selection.
- What it is doing — required, free text.
- Your consent — a required checkbox recording that you agree to be contacted about the enquiry.
The form does not ask for a vehicle identification number, a registration, a driving licence number or any payment detail, and you should not put any of them in the free text box. None of it is needed to answer an enquiry.
The form also contains one hidden field labelled “Website”, positioned off screen. It exists solely to detect automated submissions: a person never sees it or fills it in, and a submission that arrives with it completed is discarded. It collects nothing about you.
Nothing on this form is pre-filled, inferred, purchased or appended from another source. What we receive is what you typed. The submission is delivered to us by email at [email protected], together with the date and time of submission and the hostname of the site it came from. There is no customer database behind this website and no login of any kind.
What a telephone call and a repair order record
When you telephone, we write down what is needed to answer you: your name, a way to reach you back, the vehicle, and what it is doing.
When you bring a vehicle in, a repair order records your name, contact details, the vehicle identification and mileage, your description of the symptom, the work authorized, the parts and labor supplied, and the payment. Where a vehicle is diagnosed, the repair order also carries the technician’s findings and any data read from the vehicle’s own systems as part of that diagnosis.
These are the ordinary business records of a repair shop. Several of them we are required to keep, and the repair history is also what makes a future visit quicker and cheaper for you.
We do not record telephone calls.
Vehicle data
Diagnosing a modern vehicle means reading data from it: stored trouble codes, freeze-frame data captured when a fault occurred, and live sensor readings. Some vehicles also store operating data that can be read during service.
We read what is needed to diagnose the concern you brought the vehicle in for, we record the relevant part of it on your repair order, and we use it for that repair. We do not sell vehicle data, share it with data brokers, or pass it to insurers or marketers.
Cookies, analytics and advertising tags
This site sets no cookies of its own. There is no session, no login, no preferences store, no consent-banner state and no first-party analytics.
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, Hotjar, session recording, heatmaps, chat widgets, review widgets, embedded video, embedded maps or social media buttons. No fonts, stylesheets, scripts or images are fetched from a content delivery network; the two typefaces used here are served from this domain.
Microsoft Advertising Universal Event Tracking (UET) is currently disabled. This site is built to load the UET tag from bat.bing.com while we run paid search advertising, but it is conditional on one tag identifier in the site configuration file. While that identifier is unset the tag is not in the page at all: no script element is written, no queue is created and no request is made. In its present state this website makes zero external network requests of any kind. If that changes, this section changes with it, because it is generated from the same setting.
Server logs. Our web host keeps ordinary server logs recording the IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. Technical records for security and troubleshooting, generated by the hosting infrastructure rather than by anything on the page.
What we never do with it
We do not sell, rent or trade your details. We do not share them with anyone for their own marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list for bringing a car in, and we do not send unsolicited service reminders unless you ask for them.
The only third parties who receive anything are the ones who have to: a parts supplier receives a vehicle identification to supply the right part, a payment processor receives what it needs to take a payment, a towing company receives an address, our accountants receive the transaction records, and regulators or tax authorities receive what the law requires.
How long we keep it
An enquiry that does not become a visit is kept briefly and then discarded.
Repair orders and invoices are kept for as long as accounting, tax and consumer-protection rules require, and for the duration of any warranty on the work. A warranty claim depends on the original repair order existing, so these are not records we can delete on request.
Server logs are kept for a short operational period by our host and then rotated out.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, and tell us to stop contacting you. The opt-out policy says how, and is explicit about what we are still obliged to keep.
Florida residents: we do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is no opt-out of a sale for us to offer.
Changes, and how to reach us
If this policy changes we update the review date at the top of this page.
To ask anything about it, telephone (904) 721-3000 during posted hours, or write to Arlington Motor Company, Inc., 10939 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
L 0.0 The rest
The other policies
All seven are linked in the footer of every page on this site, and from the homepage as well.
Ask before you authorize, not after
Anything on this page that is unclear — the warranty term on your repair, which parts grades are available and what each costs, what happens if the estimate has to change — is a telephone call away, and asking before you authorize is always the right time.
